Honesty and Integrity in Automotive repair
Dealer Trained ASE Certified Technicians

About Us
Professionals That Care
Lor's Garage is all about service and professionalism. We hire dealer trained and ASE certified technicians so you can rest assured that quality technicians will be working on your vehicle. We do not believe in selling unwarranted repairs or snake oil, your car will not get an extra 20 MPG because of that oil additive some unethical repair facility talked you into buying. We do rec preventive maintenance because yes, not ever changing that trans fluid will destroy your transmission. We differ from most places in that we will educate you on what your car needs and why, we believe that what goes around comes around and that honesty is still the best policy when it comes to business. You will be treated with respect here and communicated with every step of the process.

About the founder:
When I was a kid, I was always fascinated by all things mechanical. I would take apart anything and everything to see how it worked. I would look for lone screwdrivers lying around the house so I could pry apart my toys in an effort to understand their inner workings, and I got them all back together again, mostly lol.
Fast forwarding it would not be until I got to high school that I realized my interest in auto mechanics. I took our then offered (sadly dis-continued) auto shop program when I was a junior, and this became a Vocational class for me when I was a senior. I luckily had a shop teacher who had a master’s degree in teaching and was an old school super mechanic who knew everything it seemed. I would recall for many years after, some of the sessions where he would have the class gather around him in the shop for a teaching moment, those moments stuck with me and I learned a lot from them, what a privilege it was for me to have him as my teacher. Later in my senior year I tested against other schools in the state and made it into a statewide trouble shooting contest sponsored by AAA and Chrysler.

After graduating I dabbled in many jobs, I initially worked at a Firestone in our local town as a general service. I had learned so much in my high school auto mechanics class that I was able to do some of the jobs for the techs there. It was a lot of fun. I moved out of state and ended up working in many different restaurants. I also worked as a home remodeler and did some carpentry jobs with an uncle of mine and learned a lot from those experiences, but ultimately I decided that my true calling was auto repair and so I took a job at a Midas shop for a time where I worked on everything under the sun. After being offered a job at a dealership, I never looked back.

That was a Lexus dealership where I proceeded to become a Master Certified Lexus Tech, Master Certified ASE Tech and also Hybrid certified. After working as a dealer tech for over 20 years I decided that I wanted to be able to work on cars on my own terms, and not be hampered by corporate procedure. I started Lor’s Garage to bring honesty and integrity to my customers while saving them money in the process, a win-win for everyone.
